FAQ > GENERAL > What can I do to care for my newly refinished tub/tile?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

  • Same as for a new tub.
  • Use a liquid cleaner once or twice a week and wipe with a damp sponge.  (Formula 409, Fantastik, Lysol, Liquid Ajax)
  • DO NOT use a cleanser or scotch bright pads. These products will scratch/damage the surface.
  • DO NOT use cleaners with alkalies/mild acids or harmful chemicals. These products wil wear away the surface in a short period of time.
  • Keep items/bathmats off the surface as much as possible. Standing water around these items will wear away the surface. Standing water can even eat away porcelain surfaces; especially corners where shampoo bottles are kept.
  • Metal objects, (shaving cream cans tools) can easily scratch or chip the surface.
  • Prevent soap scum buildup by spraying liquid cleaner on the surface and wipe with a damp sponge at least once or twice a week.
  • Your new surface can last 8 to 12 years or even longer when these care instructions are followed.
